What is Overscope, exactly?
Voice mind mapping for iPhone. You hold the push-to-talk button and think out loud; Overscope transcribes on-device and turns what you said into a structured mind map — a root, branches, and leaves. It's not a transcript, not a voice memo, not a chat assistant. The map is the output.
Is my data private?
Yes. Speech is transcribed on your iPhone with Apple's Speech framework; the audio buffer is processed in memory and discarded — nothing is recorded. The backend receives only the text it needs to extract structure, never audio and never a stored transcript, and logs only the generated map's metadata.
What does "push-to-talk" mean?
The microphone is live only while you press and hold the button. There's no always-listening, no hotword, no ambient capture — for privacy, intentionality, and battery.
Can I change how the map looks?
Yes. Switch any map between six layouts — radial, tree, org, cluster, outline, and bubble — from the layout menu. Your choice is remembered per map.
Can I edit the map?
Yes. Tap any node to rename it, add a child, or delete it. Drag nodes to rearrange. The AI gives you a first draft of the structure; you shape it from there.
Can I export a map?
Yes — export any map as a PNG and share it into Notes, Messages, or anywhere. More formats may follow; v1 ships PNG.
Is there a Mac app?
Overscope launches on iPhone (iOS 26). A Mac companion is planned afterward, sharing the same account and the same maps. It's deliberately not a v1 surface.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. You keep Plus access until the end of the billing period.
Do you offer a free tier or a lifetime plan?
No. Every map runs real on-device and cloud AI, so there's no free tier and no lifetime. There's one plan — Overscope Plus, $19.99/month or $149/year — with a 3-day free trial.
